Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart and his Special Victims Division spoke at the Township of Lyons in late May to teach attendees about the prevalence of Human Trafficking. They spoke about red flags, victim’s rights and the services that were available for victims.
Red flags include:
*Not in control of their own money.
*Not able to tell you about their own whereabouts.
*No passport or other identifying documentation (or these items are in the possession of someone else).
