Through self-directed innovative programs addressing environmental and societal challenges or in a position with local fire or police service, public works, summer camps, libraries, and local organizations and municipalities, we aim to nurture skills, foster responsibility, and inspire a lifelong commitment to community engagement and positive change.

Job Description
Summer interns will work up to 25 hours per week and engage in real-world and personally meaningful projects. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with our team and government partners to develop and implement and or support community programs. Students will gain hands-on experience in public service, community engagement, and program development while making a positive impact on the community.
Selected through an interview process. Should possess the following skills:
- Desire to develop new skills and work ethic.
- Ability to generate innovative ideas for campaigns and events.
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with the appropriate software and tools.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to the group.
Potential projects for the summer of 2025
- Create events and social opportunities for seniors.
- Community Pet Pantry Pop-up.
- Assist in the restoration and creation of a learning space at a local protected wetland and prairie.
- Organize a Rugby/Chess/STEM Camp for community youth.
- Create a social media and outreach campaign directed at raising awareness about the value of trees and an improved tree canopy.
- Assist with a tree canopy inventory program.
