The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus has awarded a grant to the Township of Lyons to educate ComEd customers about the benefits of energy efficiency and provide them with resources to save energy and money.  The Mayors Caucus leads several environmental initiatives that support conservation, waste reduction, and pollution prevention to help make the Chicago region more resilient in the face of climate change.

In 2026, the Township of Lyons will be hosting and attending community events to share information with ComEd customers. We will have engaging ways to demonstrate energy efficiency, while helping customers access ComEd’s energy saving services and products. Based on income eligibility, some of the services may include free in-home assessments and free and discounted products. Some customers also may be eligible to receive weatherization and heating/cooling improvements.
