Thefts from vehicles have been reported in recent weeks in unincorporated  Lyons Township, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Police. In all incidents, the vehicles were left unlocked, often with valuable items inside. The thefts occurred in the LaGrange Highlands area, but have also been reported throughout the larger Cook County region. Residents are reminded that once inside a vehicle, offenders often have access to garage door openers, allowing access to the garage and potentially the house, if the inside garage door remains unlocked. Please refer to the graphic above.
